I'm Linda
Hi there!
I'm a self-taught photographer based in Boise. I grew up in the canyon lands of south-central Idaho, where I fell deeply in love with interesting rocks and the furry and feathered creatures that live among them. About a decade ago, having exhausted all other options for creative expression, I picked up a camera and started pointing it toward things with wings, finding my artistic home in the process.
I began voraciously consuming every relevant photography book and online class I could find, carried my camera in my purse every day for spontaneous practice sessions, and made many rookie mistakes. I still do all of the above.
I also became fascinated with photo compositing and adding textures and painterly effects to my images. Photoshop has been my intrepid companion in this endeavor.
Having since ventured into photographing everything from landscapes to abstracts to my best friends’ pets, I still firmly believe that cameras are more than a little bit magical, and I love every minute I get to spend behind the lens.
