I'm a self-taught photographer based in Boise. Growing up in the canyon lands of south-central Idaho, I fell deeply in love with interesting rocks and the furry and feathered creatures that live among them. In my mid-40s, having exhausted all other options for creative expression, I picked up a camera and started pointing it toward things with wings, finding my artistic home in the process.
Most of my photos are taken within a few miles of my home, along the banks of the Boise River or in the foothills that flank the city. The terrain and variety of wildlife here is an endless source of joy and inspiration.
